The bedtime story is a tradition as old as time. We all have fond memories of being lulled to sleep by the soothing voices of our parents or grandparents, as they tell us fascinating tales, full of bright and vivid imagery. So many times, we have drifted off to sleep, our heads filled with wondrous colour and adventure.
But who’s to say these tales can’t be a part of our lives beyond childhood? For one, we all still rely on different tools and techniques to help us fall asleep at night. To add to that, we’re living in an age where numerous adults around the world periodically struggle to get enough sleep. But aside from all that, it’s really as simple as this – you’re never too old for a great bedtime story.
Which is why, our latest labour of love combines that wonderful childhood tradition with the power of modern meditation, to give you – Mindhouse Sleep Stories!
The stories are a blend of wonderfully crafted creative writing and peaceful ambient music, anchored by some fantastic narrations by a few of our favourite folks in entertainment. We were thrilled to be able to collaborate with Rahul Bose, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Amol Parashar to help bring the first set of stories to life, and needless to say, being able to work with them was an absolute treat.
We’ve worked with our writers to ensure that each story evokes a sense of calm and tranquility, with the themes spanning everything from folk tales with an updated twist, to nature visualizations and original fiction. Transport yourself to the pristine glacial beauty of the alps with “A Swiss Mountain Adventure”, guided by Konkona Sen Sharma’s expert narration. Take a walk through the cool dark trees with “A Night in the Forest”, with Rahul Bose’s soothing baritone as the perfect nocturnal companion. Or immerse yourself in a vibrant and colourful reimagining of Hansel & Gretel, retold compellingly by Amol Parashar. No matter what your bedtime tale of choice, we feel there’s something for everyone (and there’ll be more on the way soon)!
