Sessions in this programme use relaxation breathing exercises to help calm the mind. A relaxed mind is not only more focused, but also free of stress – something that is much needed in today’s competitive environment. Breathing techniques practised in some of these sessions, remove lethargy and energize the mind, also helping to build focus.
Research shows that breath directly influences our brains chemistry. Breathing rhythms affect noradrenaline levels in the body. This neurotransmitter plays a key role in attention and thinking, helping to boost focus, sustain concentration, and maintain alertness and motivation.
Focus-based meditation exercises practised in this programme have been specifically designed to hold the attention of a teenager so that they find these exercises both challenging and fun at the same time. Mindfulness and Visualization, the key techniques practised in the sessions, not only help build focus and concentration but also help improve memory and enhance problem-solving skills.
Students who practise meditation are more focused in every task they perform, be it studies, sports, music or any other hobby.
