Once you sign up for the Prenatal Yoga and Breathwork class, our trainers will call you for a free consultation, to help you customize your classes, and pick the timings for your weekly sessions – multiple slots are available each day.
The Prenatal Yoga sequence has been designed separately for each of the 3 trimesters of pregnancy. In the first 2 trimesters, the sequences of postures help to prepare your body for the changes to come, by strengthening the spine and hip joints, and gradually increasing blood circulation, particularly in the abdominal region. In the 3rd trimester, yoga postures are designed to help open up the pelvic girdle, readying the body for labour.
Prenatal breathwork sessions include carefully chosen breathing exercises, which refrain from putting pressure on the abdomen, keep the heart rate constant, and primarily focus on strengthening the lungs and calming the mind. Breathing is an integral part of preparing the body for the birthing process as well as mentally coping with the changes being encountered during the 9 months.
The programme helps prepare the body for the period of pregnancy by stretching and strengthening the spine, relieving joint-related aches and pains, increasing lung capacity, reducing overall stress and calming the mind.
Note: While the Prenatal Yoga & Breathwork Program is segregated for each trimester of pregnancy, in general, they will follow a similar structure. Most sessions will be Yoga focused, interspersed with Breathwork focused-practice in every 3rd or 4th session.
